* T hese are my examples: 1. I worked late yesterday. 2. I was teaching a class an hour ago. 3. I used to practice swimming. * W hat are the tenses used in each one of my examples? 1. * E xamples: 1. Yo escuchaba las noticias cuando venía a la escuela. 2. ¿Qué hacías cuando eras pequeño (a)? 3. Yo veía mucha television. 4. ¿Peleabas mucho cuando eras pequeño? Did you use to fight a lot when you were little? I was listening to the news when I was coming here. What did you use to do when you were little? I used to watch a lot of TV.

* E xamples: 1. ¿Cuántos años tenían tus padres cuando se casaron? 2. Mi madre tenía dieciocho años y mi padre tenía veintitres años cuando se casaron. 3. Eran las seis de la mañana cuando comía mi cereal. How old were your parents when they got married? My mom was eighteen years old and my father was twenty three years old when they got married. It was six in the morning when I was eating my cereal. Usually the word CUANDO (when) is used to connect two events.
