A direct object pronoun tells who or what receives the action of the verb. Direct object pronouns replace the noun. In English, we use me, you, us, it, them, him, and her. I bought the shirt. I bought it. He wears the pants. He wears them. In Spanish, we do the same thing, but we place the direct object pronoun before the verb.
