OBJECTIVE 5: MAKE VERB GAME IN GROUP OF FOUR Play the game

Group Work Rules & Procedures: 1. Everyone must participate or receive a zero. I monitor groups closely. Just because your name is on a paper with answers does not mean that you contributed. 2. Show respect to your group members by valuing everyone’s opinions. 3. It is mandatory that everyone lends their voice to the discussion. 4. Be critical of ideas, not people. Disagreement is necessary and can be healthy if handled maturely. 5. If there are two sides to an issue, try to understand both sides. 6. Listen to everyone’s ideas, even if you do not agree with them. It often takes more skill to listen that it does to share.

Procedures for Group Discussion& Group Work: 1. I will give each group member a role to play in group work or discussions. 2. I will randomly select students from each group to represent their group’s thinking, so make sure everyone stoup to represent their group’s thinking, so make sure everyone stays on their toes. 3. Assign one member to be the group leader/facilitator 4. The facilitator will direct the group to write/down their opinion, comment, etc. 5. The facilitator will lead group discussion by starting first and then calling on each member to add to the conversation with what they have written down. 6. After each comment, the facilitator will allow for members of the group to discuss what each member thinks of what has been voiced by their peers.

AR Verb Game – Preterit Tense Group rules Each group will have only four members and each member will have a cuadro de grupo. Each group will receive a board game and a dice. Each member of the team will be assigned a color. Each member must write in seven –AR verbs in seven different boxes. Please look for the list provided. Game Assembly How to play the game: Each team member will role the dice and write his/her name in the square where he or she landed. Each number on the dice represents a subject pronoun. Please look at the list provided. Each team member must write his or her Spanish sentence using the subject indicated by the dice and the verb on which he/she landed in the preterit tense. First player that gets to the end of the game wins!
