1 Escribir *You can get creative. You can write in the first person which means you are the character, you can use the third person which means you are talking about the character, you can use the second person which means you are talking directly to the character, or you can even write in the first person plural which means you are with the character and talking about yourselves. *Look at the images displayed. Write (escribe) at least one sentence using what you already know plus this chapter’s verbs and vocabulary. *As you get the hang of it, challenge yourself and write two sentences. By the time you get to the slide with the giraffe, you should be able to write three sentences. *You can learn a lot simply by observing others. Read what others wrote to get ideas for the next slide. *Remember to conjugate your verbs to match the subject!!! *Remember to make your adjectives match in gender and number. *Your objective today is: Apply what you know about food items, verbs that deal with maintaining health, and prior knowledge to express yourself through written language. Identify errors in writing and use mistakes in writing as a means to improve your own writing. Demonstrate growth in written language by writing more next time and making fewer mistakes. (You will be performing this writing task again this week. If you’d like to get better, these images are posted on my website for study and practice purposes.)

2 Check for Understanding: As people’s answers are displayed, you and your country members are to read each other’s writing. As a country, identify mistakes and discuss how to fix them (focus on the writings from the members of your country first, then you can analyze other entries if there is time). We will talk about a few as a class.

4 Comen. Comen espagueti. Ellos comen espagueti. Los perros comen espagueti. A los perros les gusta el espagueti. El espagueti es sabroso.

5 El hombre tiene muchas zanahorias. Me gustan las zanahorias. Las zanahorias son buenas para la salud. Las zanahorias son deliciosas.
