If you answer is NO, you probably need ____________________________ me- menos-us te- youos-y’all lo- him/it (masculine) la-her/ it (feminine) los- them (masculine)/ you-all las- them (feminine)/ you-all Recuerda:  los objetos directos contestan las preguntas : QU É o QUI É N  usamos los COMPLEMENTOS DIRECTOS to replace los objetos directos en la frase.

Ejemplos de los complementos directos: 1.I use them (los cupones)./ Yo los uso. 2.We see him. / Nosotros lo vemos. 3.I know her./ Yo la conozco. 4.Do you know it (la respuesta)?/ ¿ La sabes? 5.They buy it (the book). / Ellos lo compran. 6.I call you. / Yo te llamo. 7.Do you understand me?/ ¿ Me entiendes?

Otras cositas para recordar (other things to remember) con los complementos directos e indirectos

 Ubicaci ó n (location) Whether we are dealing with just un complemento directo or un complemento indirecto by itself, or using them together, the same rules apply. 1.Si hay 1 verbo en la frase, solo tenemos UNA opci ó n. Necesitamos poner el (los) complemento(s) ANTES del verbo. (If there is only 1 verb in the sentence, we only have 1 option. We need top ut the pronoun (s) BEFORE the verb.) La compro Se lo doy a ella. Le dice la verdad a é l. 2. Si hay 2 verbos en la frase, tenemos 2 opciones. Podemos poner el (los) complemento(s) ANTES del primer verbo o AL FINAL del infinitivo. (If there are 2 verbs in the sentence, we have 2 options. We can put the pronoun(s) BEFORE the first verb or AT THE END of the infinitive (the second verb). voy a comprar la / la voy a comprar acabo de dár sel o/ se lo acabo de dar tengo que decir le / le tengo que decir 3. Si hay un gerundio, tenemos 2 opciones. Podemos poner el (los) complemento(s) ANTES del verbo estar o AL FINAL del gerundio. (If there are 2 verbs in the sentence, we have 2 options. We can put the pronoun(s) BEFORE the verb ESTAR or AT THE END of the gerund). La estoy comprando/ estoy compr á ndo la Se lo estoy dando/ estoy d á ndo selo Le est á diciendo/ esta dici é ndo le

 Orden (order) I.D. (You always need your ID to use los complementos!) Siempre ponemos el complemento indirecto PRIMERO y el complemento directo SEGUNDO. (We always put the indirect object pronoun FIRST and the direct object pronoun SECOND. They must always STAY TOGETHER. DO NOT SEPARATE THEM! They’re BFFs, like PB&J, salt and pepper, Chester and Miss Schleicher).

 La regla LE-LA (the LE-LA rule) No podemos tener 2 complementos juntos que empiezan con la letra “ L ”. Es necesario cambiar el complement indirect de LE o LES a SE.
