There are no apostrophes in Spanish!!! To indicate that someone owns an item you have to use the word “de” (of). María’s dadthe dad of María ________________________________________ the boy’s lockerthe locker of the boy ________________________________________ (de + el = del) the girl’s jobsthe jobs of the girl ________________________________________ the students’ hwthe hw of the students ________________________________________ el papá de María la casilla del chico los trabajos de la chica la tarea de los estudiantes

Possessive adjectives are like any other adjective; they must match in gender and number with the noun/subject they describe. So if the noun you are describing is plural, you must make the possessive adjective plural. The person owning the item has no influence over whether you use a singular or plural form of the adjective. The item determines that.
