 Commands tell people to do something.

 Commands are an order, not a regular sentence so they don’t start with a pronoun (you, we, etc.)

1. Usted: Used to tell ONE person to do something. 2. Ustedes: Used to tell MULTIPLE people to do something. 3. Nosotros: Used to says LET’S do something (include yourself in the command)

 To form the formal commands (usted and ustedes), you go to the yo form of the present tense, drop the o, and add the OPPOSITE endings.  That means for -AR verbs, you add e (usted), en (ustedes), or emos (nosotros).  And, for -ER/-IR verbs, you add a (usted), an (ustedes), or amos (nosotros).
