Commands tell people to do something.
Commands are an order, not a regular sentence so they don’t start with a pronoun (you, we, etc.)
1. Usted: Used to tell ONE person to do something. 2. Ustedes: Used to tell MULTIPLE people to do something. 3. Nosotros: Used to says LET’S do something (include yourself in the command)
To form the formal commands (usted and ustedes), you go to the yo form of the present tense, drop the o, and add the OPPOSITE endings. That means for -AR verbs, you add e (usted), en (ustedes), or emos (nosotros). And, for -ER/-IR verbs, you add a (usted), an (ustedes), or amos (nosotros).
