S UPERLATIVES AND C OMPARATIVES

C OMPARATIVES (+ ) More (adjective) than más + adjective + que More than (no adjective) más que Adjectives of comparatives agree with the first noun. Examples: Marcia es más alta que Tomás. Me gusta ir a la biblioteca más que al gymnasio.

C OMPARATIVES (- ) Less (adjective) than menos + adjective + que Less than (no adjective) menos que Examples: James es menos serio que Anthony. Me gusta estudiar menos que leer.

C OMPARATIVES (= ) As (adjective) as tan + adjective + como Less than (no adjective) tanto como Tanto changes to agree with the first noun as well. Examples: Leslyn es tan bonita como su hermosa. A ellos les gusta hablar tanto como escuchar.

C OMPARATIVES ( IRREGULARS ) Mayor (older), menor (younger), mejor (better) and peor (worse) are irregular comparatives. They agree in number with the first noun. They take the form of comparative + que. Examples: Brode es mayor que Louise. Ana es menor que Rodrigo. Pablo toca la guitarra mejor que Camila. Alea es peor que Tara con la gente.

S UPERLATIVES The most el/la/los/las + noun + más + adjective The adjective agrees with the article and the noun. Example: El parque es más limpio en la ciudad.
