Día 67 Writer’s Workshop
Calentamiento Make sure you picked up the piece of paper by the door. Begin working on the “calentamiento” section. You have 7 minutes to finish it. Look up at Sr. Connolly when you have finished. Raise your hand if you have any questions. Stay silent to let those around you focus.

Una carta a su tía
Dear nephew/niece Your aunt. 6
buenos días, ¿cómo estás?, querida tía Me gusta comer… Me gusta beber… Yo como…para el desayuno. Para el desayuno, yo como… Yo bebo…para el almuerzo. Para el almuerzo, yo bebo… Yo como … para la cena. Para la cena, yo como… Mi hermano/a come… Mis comidas favoritas son …. + porque son + (matching adjectivo). Adiós, hasta luego.
Now, write a card responding to YOUR aunt with YOUR answers to the questions. You can look at the one we did together, but make it personal! Try to use some of the palabras especiales. Work independently. When finished, exchange work with a partner (sitting next to you). When you have checked each other’s work, look to pages to look at what we’ll be learning next unit. Complete some of the activities for extra credit.
Mini-pizarras You will be using the mini-pizarras and markers. Remember, using these is a privilege, and if you misuse them (by drawing anything else, or writing messages to classmates), your board will be taken away. You will hold it down until Sr. Connolly shouts “¡Muéstrame!”
