PRESENTATION ABOUT IDEAL HOLIDAYS WRITTEN ASSESSMENT: REAL or INVENTED holidays. You must describe your holidays in detail. See page 51 in Mira 2 book, HABLAR 4. You must answer ALL questions in HABLAR 4 to structure a presentation on your ideal holiday. Also see examples on pages 50 in blue web page box.

GRADING CRITERIA WRITTEN ASSESSMENT: For a 5A you must include a variety of the following: Connectives & Sequence Words: y, pero, también,primero, luego, después, etc.. Time expressions in the present: normalmente, generalmente Time expressions in the past: el verano pasado, el año pasado, el invierno pasado, la primavera pasada, el otoño pasado, las vacaciones pasadas, etc… Adjectives describing how it was: ¡Es guay! ¡Fue genial! ¡Lo pasé bomba! ¡Lo pasé mal! etc… A variety of verbs in the present telling what you normally do on vacation and a variety of verbs in the past telling what you did on vacation. (if you don’t use both present & past tense you cannot receive a level 5) You must also ask a question using the present tense & a question using the past tense.

SPEAKING ASSESSMENT Practice what you wrote for the Written Assessment. Make a presentation (preferrably on prezi.com or glogster.com) A good presentation will give you a high grade Your name will be chosen in random order and all will present to the class.

Requirements for Prezi: You must have at least 5 photos or more (to guide you) YOU MAY NOT HAVE ANY WRITTN TEXT ON YOUR SLIDES!! YOU CANNOT LOOK AT ANY NOTES. YOU MUST HAVE THE PRESENTATION MEMORIZED AND USE THE PICTURES TO GUIDE YOU.

GRADING CRITERIA SPEAKING ASSESSMENT: For a 5A in Speaking you must include the following… Memorized presentation (no notes or text on presentation- only pictures to guide you) Face the audience and maintain eye-contact (don´t face your back to the audience and look at your presentation-only glance at presentation) Speak with good voice projection so you can be easily heard and understood Speak clearly using good pronunciation and intonation (pronounce vowels:a,e,i,o,u correctly, and other sounds: silent H, etc.) Speak with a good flow & pace (few pauses)

DEADLINES: Wednesday, March 12:Written Assessment must be written on google docs and share with me: I will give you an assessment grade. If there are errors I will highlight for you to fix, so you can memorize your part correctly for the Speaking Assessment. Friday, March 14:Speaking Assessment You must have your pictures on PREZI and have your written script memorized ready to give you ORAL PRESENTATION. Note that the earlier you send me your written assessment for me to grade then highlight errors, the more time you will have to make corrections and correctly memorise your presentation.
