ÍNDICE 1.Reported statements 2.Reported Questions 3.Commands Tipos 3.Commands 4.Reporting Verbs 5. Ejercicios

1. Reported statements (oraciones declarativas) Cambios de los tiempos verbales ESTILO DIRECTO ESTILO INDIRECTO Present simple I train every day Past simple He said (that) he trained every day Present continuous I'm having a shower Past continuous He said (that) he was having a shower Present Perfect We haven't seen it yet Past Perfect They said they hadn't met her I met her at 3 He said he had met her at 3 She had met her before He said she had met her before

Cambios de los verbos modales: ESTILO DIRECTO ESTILO INDIRECTO Can I can't swim Could He said (that) he couldn't swim. Will I'll send you a postcard Would He said (that) he would send us a postcard. Must / have (got) You must study more Had to He said (that) we had study more May It may be true Might He said (that) it might be true El verbo introductor en los estilos directo e indirecto suele ser say . Ejemplo: `I'm hungry', he said to me `I'm working tonight', he told me. Ej: He said `I can't find my keys'. He said (that) he couldn't find his keys PERO:El pronombre you cambia a I. Ej: He said `You look tired' He said I looked tired. Nota: He said, `You look tired, Jane'. - He told Jane she looked tired

THE NEXT DAY/THE FOLLOWING DAY Otras expresiones que cambian: ESTILO DIRECTO ESTILO INDIRECTO THIS THAT HERE THERE TODAY THAT DAY YESTERDAY THE DAY BEFORE TOMORROW THE NEXT DAY/THE FOLLOWING DAY TONIGHT THAT NIGHT TOMORROW MORNING THE FOLLOWING MORNING YESTERDAY AFTERNOON THE PREVIOUS AFTERNOON NEXT WEEK/MONTH/YEAR THE FOLLOWING WEEK/MONTH/YEAR LAST WEEK/MONTH/YEAR THE PREVIOUS WEEK/MONTH/YEAR A WEEK/MONTH/YEAR AGO A WEEK/MONTH/YEAR BEFORE

TIPOS a) Wh questions: He said `What is her name?' He Asked Wondered Wanted to know What her name was. b)Yes/No questions: van introducidas por las conjuncionesIF/WHETHER He said, `Can I use your pen?' He asked me if / whether he could use my pen.

+ personal object without preposition: He asked me… She told John… Alice begged him Los “commands positivos normalmente se expresan con: verbo de command + objeto sin preposición + to infinitivo. `Open the door´, he said to Alice He told Alice to open the door Los “commands” negativo se expresan con: verbo de command + not + to infinitivo `Don’t touch me´, the girl said to the doctor The girl asked the doctor not to touch her
