EXAMPLES IN ENGLISH Roberto is taller than Pilar. Here, the comparison is between Roberto and Pilar. We are comparing how tall they are. Tall is the adjective that is the common element. My room is bigger than my sister’s room. In this case, the comparison is between 2 different rooms. We are comparing how big both are. BIG is the adjective that is the common element.
