Talking about routines in the present tense To talk about routines in the present tense we usually use Reflexive verbs. They don’t work without the Subject and Object pronouns together. (me, te, se, nos, os, se) Reflexives end in –se and that is how you know they are reflexive

But what are reflexives Verbs that only you or the affected person can do to benefit oneself. Example: I take a shower, so my brother can smell clean I look myself in the mirror so my husband can see how he looks.

I look at the mirror so I can see how I look I shower so I can get clean

How you do it Dormirse 1) write the subject pronoun (yo, tú, él/ella, usted, nosotros/as, vosotros/as, ellos/ellas/ustedes) Then add the OBJECT Pronoun (me, te, se, nos, os, se) Take our –SE from the reflexive and now Conjugue el verbo as you will do in a regular basis.

Irregular verbs in the present tense Stem Change verbs (not too irregulars ) We will learn several stem change verbs. And the first rule is to know where the verb change occurs! It always happens in the second vowel back to front. Preferir = Pre – fe - rir Dormirse = Dor – mir (se doesn’t count because it just show that it is a reflexive verb!) Acostarse = A – cos - tar (se)
