I. Los adverbios -mente
Adverbs ending in -mente Spanish uses adverbs ending in –mente. This is just like the English –ly. To form these adverbs, add –mente to the femenine form of the adjective: to form the adverb of “fast” (rápido) take the feminine form, rápida, and add –mente: rápidamente. If the adjective doesn’t have a femenine form, simply add -mente: to form the adverb for difficult (difícil): difícilmente.

II. El verbo Deber ¿Qué debes hacer?

Deber is followed by the infinitive of the verb for what you ought to or should do. Yo debo estudiar. Marcos debe comer. Nosotros debemos lavarnos las manos. I should study. Marcos should eat. We should wash our hands.
A ti te toca (your turn): You should listen to your mother. I should be happy. We should pay attention in class. Should I call my boyfriend? Tú debes escuchar a tu mamá. Yo debo estar feliz. Debemos prestar atención en clase. ¿Debo llamar a mi novio?

III. El Presente Progresivo ¿Qué estás haciendo?
El Presente Progresivo The present progressive is used to describe action that is happening right now. It is equivalent to the –ing ending in English. Examples: I am writing. You are studying. We are playing a game.

Forming the present progressive: The present progressive is formed with 2 parts: The verb estar The present participle
