3 Using the verb Deber to talk about what people should/ought to do
Deber Infinitive Ejemplos 1. Yo debo pedir una limonada I should order a lemonade. 2. Tú debes barrer el suelo. You (singular/familiar) should sweep the floor. 3. Usted debe llamarme. You (singular/formal) should call me.

4 Más Práctica – ¡Traduce!
She should bring the appetizers. Ella debe traer las tapas. 2. They should go to the park. Ellos deben ir al parque. 3. I should wake up (myself) before six in the morning. (Hint: Use a reflexive verb AND reflexive pronoun) Yo debo despertarme antes de las seis de la mañana. 4. You (plural/formal) should leave from the school early today. Ustedes deben salir de la escuela temprano hoy.

Why can the DOP be attached to the infinitive OR put in front of the conjugated verb? Más Práctica…más difícil You should eat it! (potato omlet) Tú debes comerla. La debes comer. 2. They should send mandar them. (the invitations) Ellos deben mandarlas. Ellos las deben mandar. 3. I should sweep it! (the floor) Yo debo barrerlo. Yo lo debo barrer. 4. She should take it out. (the trash) Ella deber sacarla. Ella la debe sacar. Direct Object Pronouns – They answer ¨whom?¨ or ¨what?¨ about the verb. They replace the direct object so you don´t have to keep repeating it. Me - me Nos – us Te – you Os – you all Lo, La - it Los, Las - them
