Fountas and Pinnell assessment/evaluación  What is it? ¿Qué es?  When do kids take it and how often? ¿Cuando lo hacen los niños y con qué frecuencia?  What level should my child be at? ¿En qué nivel debería mi hijo estar?  What can I do to help at home? ¿Qué puedo hacer para ayudar en casa?  What level is my child? ¿En qué nivel está mi hijo?

Leveled Assessment/Evaluación nivelado  Students read a book to the teacher and answer questions about what happened or what they learned Los alumnos leen un libro para el maestro y dar respuesta a preguntas acerca de lo que ha ocurrido, o lo que habían aprendido  The teacher takes notes on the child’s reading behaviors El profesor toma notas de los comportamientos de lectura del niño  Students begin reading at their own reading level, not necessarily the “grade level” Los alumnos comienzan a leer a su propio nivel de lectura, no necesariamente el "grado"

Assessment Schedule/Programa de Evaluación  This reading assessment is given 4 times per year: September, December, March and June Esta evaluación de lectura se administra 4 veces al año: septiembre, diciembre, marzo y junio  All Kindergarten-5 th Grade students participate Participan todos los estudiantes de Kindergarten-5to grado  This reading conference gives teachers a good idea of what level the children are reading at AND what we need to do to help them get to the next level.
