Direct Objects Direct objects receive the action of the verb in a sentence. They answer the question whom? or what? about the verb. The direct object can be a noun or a pronoun.
Examples of Direct Objects Luisa buys the blouse. (noun) Luisa compra la blusa. Luisa buys it. (pronoun) Luisa la compra.

Direct Object Pronoun Placement The direct object noun is placed after the conjugated verb. Quiero la camisa. I want the shirt. The direct object pronoun is placed directly before the conjugated verb. La quiero. I want it.
