Negative Remember, to make a sentence negative you put “no” before the verb. –No hablamos francés. –No canto en clase.
Why use present tense? To say what happens. –Habla español. (He speaks Spanish.) To say what is happening. –Habla español. (He is studying Spanish.) Use context clues to determine the meaning.
Tú vs. Usted Use tú when talking to a friend, family member, or person your own age. Use usted when speaking to an adult, a person you do not know well, or someone to whom you wish to show respect.
