Singular Only one place Use “es”: to say “is” No letter “s” on the noun or adjective Ex: El banco es grande.

Plural More than one place Use “son” to say “are” Must have the letter “s” on the noun and the adjective. Ex: Los bancos son grandes.

Masculine Sentence starts with el, un, los, unos Noun and Adjective usually end with the letter “o” Ex: El supermercado es nuevo.

Feminine Sentence starts with la, una, las, unas Noun and Adjective usually end with the letter “a” Ex: La plaza es nueva.
