Piensa en una escala 想一个规模 Balance is the distribution of the visual weight of objects, colors, texture, and space. If the design was a scale, these elements should be balanced to make a design feel stable. In symmetrical balance, the elements used on one side of the design are similar to those on the other side; in asymmetrical balance, the sides are different but still look balanced. Emphasis (Énfasis) (重点) The focus of the composition El enfoque de la composición 组合的重点 What catches your eye? ¿Qué te llama la atención? 什么抓住你的眼睛? How can you make your point known? ¿Cómo puede hacer saber su punto? 你如何知道你的观点？ Emphasis is the part of the design that catches the viewer’s attention. Usually the artist will make one area stand out by contrasting it with other areas. Movement (Movimiento) (运动) “The path the viewers eye takes trough the work of art” ("El camino que los espectadores miran a través de la obra de arte“) (“观众眼中的艺术之 路”) Key words: Guide, focus, flowing (Palabras clave: Guía, enfoque, fluir) (关键 词：指导，重点，流动) Movement is the path the viewer’s eye takes through the work of art, often to focal areas. Such movement can be directed along lines, edges, shape, and color within the work of art. The repetition of elements of design creates unity within the work of art. When looking at this photo, what do you notice? What happens when the pennies are repeated? Does your eye stay in one place or travel? You probably have realized that your eye tends to travel around the whole piece. When the pennies are repeated, they create a pattern in the gaps between them. Some of the pennies are heads up and others are tails up. This also provides a pattern. These plant bulbs are repeated. How are these different than the pennies? Is the repetition organized? You've probably noticed that these plant bulbs aren't quite the same as the pennies in that it's not as organized. The green portions are in different directions, which make this photo chaotic. So this is an example of how repetition can be used to create chaos. When drawing the human figure, proportion can refer to the size of the head compared to the rest of the body.
