EX: leer le- yo leí nosotros leímos tú leíste él leyó ellos leyeron Regular verbs in the preterit have 3 irregularities: -ER/-IR verbs that end in a vowel after you drop the –ER or –IR, like -eer/-aer/huir/oír will change in the: él : ió  yó ellos : ieron  yeron EX: leer le- yo leí nosotros leímos tú leíste él leyó ellos leyeron NOTE: An accent is needed on every í (next to strong vowel)

Regular verbs in the preterit have 3 irregularities: 2.
