Imperfect Progressive Tense Tells what was going on at a specific time in the past, often when something else happened. Formed by combining the imperfect tense of estar with the present participle of a verb. Ex : Yo estaba pensando en comprar un suéter a cuadros.

Imperfect Progressive Cont. Object pronouns: follow or attach to the present participle. This may require an accent mark. Ex: La estaba aconsejando.  Estaba aconsejándola. 2 most common progressive tenses Present Imperfect * These two tenses usually have a form of estar and a present participle.
