CONTENT Schooling in Spain is financed by the state and is compulsory between the ages of six and sixteen, since no repeat courses. The structure of the Spanish education system follows the Basic Education Act, known as LOE in Spain.
CHILDHOOD EDUCATION (PRESCHOOL) The second cycle of preschool in Spain is free for all students.. Usually the first cycle of preschool children taught in special schools or kindergartens and the second cycle is taught in primary schools.
PRIMARY SCHOOL (PRIMARY EDUCATION) Elementary school consists of 6 academic courses 6 years to 12. The system is divided into three cycles of two years each
SECONDARY EDUCATION – ESO After primary school students in Spain should continue with the Secondary Education (ESO), which usually lasts from 12 to 16 years of age.
