Repaso de los DOPs y más apuntes

Direct Object Pronouns (DOPs) replace the ___________________________ in a sentence. Direct Object Nouns In Spanish, your DOPs are: Me Nos Te Os Lo Los Los La

The DOPs Me, Te, Nos and Os can only refer to people (Me, You, Us, Y’all-pl. informal). While Lo, La, Los and Las can refer to people OR things (Him, You or It; Her, You or It; Them masc; You all;Them fem; You all). For these, you must determine whether the DO is masculine or feminine as well as singular or plural in order to replace it with the correct DOP

Yo lo tomo. Yo tomo el avión. ¿Qué tomo? El avión El avión= lo (singular, masculine) Once I have determined the correct DOP, I place the DOP ________ the conjugated verb. Yo lo tomo. before

Or…. Add these to yesterday’s notes

OR… The DOP can be placed after and attached to the infinitve/present participle So you have 2 options when there is an infinitive/ present participle included: (2 verbs back to back) Yo ____ quiero usar. (antes de) Yo quiero usar__. (después de) Yo ____ estoy usando. (antes de) Yo estoy usando__. (después de)

Practiquemos Las quiero jugar. Quiero jugarlas. Él las está sacando. Quiero jugar a las cartas. Él está sacando fotos. Ella puede tener los perros. ¡Necesito tener mi pasaporte! Ellos están mirando el avión. Las quiero jugar. Quiero jugarlas. Él las está sacando. Él está sacandolas. Ella los puede tener. Ella puede tenerlos. ¡Lo necesito tener! Necesito tenerlo. Ellos lo están mirando. Ellos están mirandolo.
