Comparisons of Equality What we need to know… Comparisons of Equality Tan adjective como As adjective as En mi club atlético, levantar pesas es tan popular como correr.

You can also make it to where things are not equal You can also make it to where things are not equal. To do this, just add the word NO in front of the verb. En el club atlético, levantar pesas no es tan popular como correr.

Tanto (-a) noun como – As much noun as To express “as much as” or “as many as,” you would use… Tanto (-a) noun como – As much noun as Pedro tiene tanto dinero como Donald Trump. Marta tiene tanta paciencia como Sta. Teresa. Used with NOUNS

Tantos (-as) noun como – As many noun as Yo tengo tantos perros como Luisa. Marta tiene tantas flores como Rosa. As always, make sure the tanto agrees in gender and number with what is being compared.

Additional Comparisons Mayor que – older than Yo soy mayor que ustedes. Menor que – younger than Pedro es menor que Roberto. Mejor que – better than Chocolate es mejor que caramel. Peor que – worse than Caramel es peor que chocolate.
