Ser and Adjectives
The verb “ser” Ser is used with adjectives to : describe people, places, and things (physical or personality) state a person’s occupation. Ser is also used to say what something is made of or to say where an event will take place.
Conjugating “ser” Yo soy Nosotros(as) somos Tu eres Vosotros(as) sois Ud. es Él es Ella es Uds. Son Ellos son Ellas son
Adjectives Adjectives are words used to describe nouns. Adjectives are either masculine (end in –o) or feminine (-a) and can be singular or plural (-s/-es) Adjectives must agree in gender and number with the noun in modifies. EJEMPLO: Ella es muy bonita. Mi padre es muy alto.
Adjectives: MASCULINE vs.FEMININE Since most adjectives are found in the masculine from, you have to change it to make it agree. If the adjective ends in –o, change to –a to make it feminine Adjectives that end in a consonant usually requires that you add –a to make it feminine. (trabajador Ella es muy trabajadora)
Adjectives: SINGULAR vs. PLURAL If the adjective ends in a vowel, just add –s. (Bonito Ellos son bonitos.) If the adjective ends in a consonant and you want to make it plural , just add –es. (Trabajador Nosotros somos trabajadores.)
