What are the similarities between the –AR and –ER verb conjugation endings? Aside from the yo form, all of the -AR verb endings start with a. Apart from the yo form, all of the –ER verb endings start with e. Besides this a and e difference, the verb endings are the same.

Same rules apply… Before adding verb conjugation endings you must take off the last two letters of the infinitive. Take off the –AR, -ER, or –IR before adding the verb endings that match the subject you are talking about.

Practicamos… Yo como = I eat… Tú comes = You eat… Usted come = You eat… Él come = He eats… Ella come = She eats… Nosotros comemos = We eat… Ustedes comen = You guys eat… Ellos comen = They eat… Ellas comen = They eat… Conjugate comer (to eat)
