¿Qué son las plantas medicinales? O Plantas que se utilizan como medicamentos para el tratamiento de alguna infección o enfermedad. (Plants that are used for medicinal uses to cure infections) O Las plantas medicinales son conocidas popularmente como droga vegetal (these plants are known as drug plants) y pueden ser consumidas a través de diferentes vías: O cápsulas (pills) O cremas (cremes) O jarabe (tea) O pomada (oitment)

¿Para que sirven? O Sirven para: O enfermedades O Adelgazar O prevenir y aliviar síntomas O Muchas hierbas y plantas medicinales no han sido autorizadas por la industria farmacéutica. O Estas plantas generalmente son recomendadas por: O curanderos o chamanes

¿Qué es el empacho? O El empacho es una indigestión de la comida (indigestion can be caused by food) cuando existe un alimento o alguna substancia que no se digiere o se digiere con dificultad. (that is not digested well)

Signos y síntomas O Dolor de estómago (Stomach ache) O Mareos (Dizziness) O Náuseas (Sickness) O Vómitos y agruras (Vomiting and heartburn) O Diarrea (Diarrhea)

Tratamiento del empacho en Cuba O Semilla de mamey: Puedes hacer té de hojas de mamey o moler las semillas con agua. (Mamey seed can be grind with water or drank in a tea)

Tratamiento del empacho en Bolivia O Coca: Puedes hacer té de hojas de coca o masticar las planta. (Coca leaf can be drank as a tea or it can be eaten.) Es considerada una de las plantas mas nutritivas del mundo por todas las vitaminas.

(How do you cure the disease?) 6. ¿Qué importancia tiene la eliminación de esa enfermedad a nivel mundial? (How important is the elimination of the disease worldwide?) 7. Explica 3 cosas que aprendiste sobre esta enfermedad. (Explain 3 things that you learned about this disease) Note: Each slide should include a picture
