Future Tense El futuro

Future tense tells what will take place in the future.

The most common way to talk about the future is to use: Ejemplo: Voy a estudiar mañana. (I am going to study tomorrow.) Ir a + (infinitive) conjugation of “ir a” infinitive

Voy a Vamos a Vas a Va a Van a Ir a (I’m going to) (You’re going to) (He/She is going to) (You’re going to) (We’re going to) (They’re going to) (You all are going to)

Another way to talk about the future is to use future tense endings.

Future tense endings are different from present and past, because instead of adding the ending to a stem, you add endings to the end of the infinitive (unconjugated verb). Ejemplo: Yo estudiaré mañana. (I will study tomorrow.) infinitivefuture ending

Future -AR Endings yo nosotros(as) tú él/ella/Ud. ellos/ellas/Uds. estudiaré estudiarás estudiará estudiaremos estudiarán

Future -ER Endings yonosotros(as) tú él/ella/Ud.ellos/ellas/Uds. leeré leerás leerá leeremos leerán

Future -IR Endings yonosotros(as) tú él/ella/Ud.ellos/ellas/Uds. escribiré escribirás escribirá escribiremos escribirán

Future tense endings are the same for -AR, -ER, and -IR Verbs!

Compare “Ir a + infinitive” and “future endings” Voy a estudiar mañana. (I’m going to study tomorrow.) Yo estudiaré mañana. (I will study tomorrow.) *Both are correct ways to talk about the future.
