Conjugate –cer/-cir This rule is important but does not apply to many infinitives that we work with in the classroom.

Conjugate –cer/-cir The infintives are regular EXCEPT in the yo form. The change only takes place in the yo form!

Conjugate –cer/-cir In the yo form, if there is a vowel before the -cer/-cir, the yo form conjugates to –zco. There is a reason why– it is to keep the “s” sound in the word. Without the z it would be a hard c sound and that doesn’t match the rest of the verbs.
