2 We use this tense to translate is ….ing or are ….doing in English. Eg. I am reading it is raining we are watching television

3 To form: First, you MUST know the present tense of ESTAR: estoy estamos estás está están está

4 With –ar verbs Cross off the –ar, and add –ando. Eg. Comprar comprando Fumar fumando Visitar visitando

5 With –er/-ir verbs Cross off the –er or -ir, and add iendo Eg. Escribir escribiendo Comer comiendo beber bebiendo

6 So, this is how it looks: Estoy comiendo Está trabajando Estamos bailando Están fumando Está lloviendo
