Se usa el presente progresivo para expresar algo que está teniendo lugar en ahora. (You use the present progressive to express something that is taking place right now) Used for: on-going/in progress actions that are happening right now.

El presente progresivo es un tiempo compuesto - ¡hay dos partes! (The Present Progressive is a compound tense. There are 2 parts!) Estar + participio presente. You must have both parts!

Los irregulares: I Y Cant have 3 vowels in a row! Change to Y For sound reasons - flows better. Leer = leyendo (reading) Traer = trayendo (bringing) Ir = yendo* Los irregulares: e i Venir = viniendo (coming) Decir = diciendo (saying)

Ejemplos: Nosotros estamos leyendo el libro. We are reading the book. Ellos están yendo al aeropuerto. They are going to the airport. Tú estás trayendo las maletas. You are bringing the suitcases.
