This is performed within the IBM WebSphere Integration Developer suite using a graphical wizard. This tool generates the interfaces for the adapter and its client. There will always be an application for which a pre built adapter is not available. Should you need to write a custom interface, I encourage you to take advantage of the IBM expertise and investment we put into our Adapters. The WebSphere Adapter Toolkit is downloadable and provides the guidance and the foundation classes to build an adapter that can adapt to changing business needs.
