Mensajes de Voz Mensajes de Fax Mensajes de Correo Electronico Unified Messaging is based on the principle that you store all your messages, voice mail, and fax, in one single mailbox. Technically this integration can be done in two different ways: The different message types can physically be stored on separate servers and integration provided at the client level Or all messages can be stored in the same server. In this scenario, we chose to use the server as the common storage. We call these different implementation models client based vs. server based unified messaging. Both approaches has its merits. Client based unified messaging supports more systems than server based and is not dependent on the systems reliability to function as a voice/fax mail system. Server based unified messaging is only possible with Exchange or Notes, but on the other hand it provides WWW access to your messages should you chose so. It also provides a tighter integration in the sense that you for example can reply to a voice mail with an (or vice versa) without having to again manually type in the recipients address. To ensure flexibility for our customers, OneBox supports both implementation models, even within a single installation (i.e. some users may store their voice/fax messages on the voice server, whereas other might store all their messages in the server).

The caller doesn't have to worry about being misinterpreted by an operator or secretary. OneBox is available to receive messages 24 hours a day, 365 days a year. It doesn’t take lunch breaks and it doesn’t call in sick. Por Ocupado

Si conoces el numero de extensión ….. “Gracias por llamar a Ericsson, le recordamos que nuestro horario de... “Bienvenido a Ericsson al depar de Ventas OneBox can be used to automate the work normally done by a company’s phone operators by providing an Automated Attendant answer incoming calls to the company. The attendant can be programmed to answer with a company’s standard greeting and then present a list of options. These options normally include a transfer of the call to a caller specified extension, access to a directory of extension, transfer the call to a live operator or playback of a standard message, e.g. opening hours. OneBox can be configured to provide different announcements and options based on the time of day, day of week, or based on the line the call is coming in on. The capabilities of OneBox include the following: Caller Queuing: Caller queuing gives customers choices other than staying on hold. When an extension is busy, caller queuing gives the caller the choice of holding for the party, or leaving a personal message. If other callers are holding for the same extension, caller queuing informs callers of their position in the queue and continually gives them the option to stop holding and either leave a personal message or transfer to an operator. Transaction Processing: Transaction processing collects information from callers and compiles the information into concise voice mail messages. With the transaction processing feature, the system asks callers a series of questions, and records the callers' responses. These responses are then compiled into a single voice mail message and delivered to a mailbox. Transaction processing can be used for 24-hour order taking, surveys, or any other application which requires retrieving information from callers.

Es Joaquin Ruiz. Me encuentro en un viaje de negocios. Por favor presiona 1 para asistencia personal o dejame un mensaje despues del tono. Gracias OneBox is not limited to allowing callers to leave a message, but also provides a mailbox unique call processing feature, the Personal Automated Attendant. It is much like the Automated Attendant virtually all Voice mail systems offer today, but instead of only providing alternative call processing options, when calling the main number (e.g. press 1 for sales, 2 for technical support, etc…), OneBox also allows each individual to design its own call flow tree. Based on the users rights, he can allow incoming calls to be forwarded to any pre-defined telephone number. Up to 10 different numbers can be pre defined and support actions like: forward to mobile phone/home office forward to a secretary/assistant allow callers to dial another extension without hanging up allow callers to send a fax allow callers page the called party The call flow for each mailbox is easily set up by the system administrator from the GUI and can be activated/de-activated by the individual user.

Responder Notificación de Mensajes OneBox can also be used for non-real time communication - Voice Messaging, when there was no intention in the first place to actually speak directly with the other party and where the call answering functionality sort of became the back-up. Voice Messaging is used to reply or forward incoming messages, but also to initiate new messages to one or several receivers (broadcasting), when there is no intent of speaking directly with the other party. OneBox notifies the receiver about an incoming message, enabling quick response when needed. OneBox saves time and reduces cost because: fewer calls needs to be handled by secretaries or operators it improves communication it reduces disruptions and increases productivity it reduces the need to locate people Contestar Llamada Enviando Reenvío

Voice messaging actually resembles to a large extent - send, receive, reply, forward, archive. It’s all about communication - the rest is technology. Therefore it is natural to integrate and voice mail in the same application. Providing the graphical user interface from the system also for managing voice mail and enabling s to be accessed from the phone, OneBox combines the best of two worlds. Just imagine not having to print the document, walk to the printer, walk from the printer to the fax machine (because for some reason they’re never co-located…), send the fax, wait for the confirmation and finally walk back to your desk. It doesn’t take a math professor to realize the potential savings in being able to send a fax directly from your PC with a single command. If you have a multimedia equipped PC, you can benefit from listening to your messages directly from the PC. Otherwise OneBox will provide the speech path via the telephone. When new messages arrive, you are instantly notified about them, allowing you to act accordingly.

30 Simplicar la Administración del sistema
OneBox provides an intuitive graphical environment for system administration. The system administrator can easily administer the system within a familiar Windows environment using standard Windows controls such as tab dialog boxes, spin controls, pull-down menus, radio buttons, and on-line help. Plus, OneBox may be administered from any Windows 95 or Windows NT client on the local area network and multiple systems can be administered centrally by a single system administrator over a corporate wide area network. OneBox also utilizes many of the Windows NT services for improved LAN connectivity, system administration, and diagnostics. OneBox is able to natively support all major communication protocols including SPX and TCP/IP for communication between client and server applications. Plus, OneBox provides a tight integration at the server level with other Windows NT Server processes such as SNA Server, Exchange Server, and SQL Server, making OneBox the ideal computer telephony server in a Back Office environment. Since all of the OneBox processes are running as services, the Windows NT operating system has open access to the OneBox processes. This allows Windows NT to monitor for all event types: system errors, application events, diagnostic warnings, etc. It shows the current status of all of OneBox processes in both the Task Manager window as well as under the Services Monitoring window. This gives the administrators and technicians a much clearer picture of system status. Since the processes are tightly knit to the operating system, all events and errors regarding the functioning of OneBox are recorded in the Windows NT Event Log. This log tracks the initialization of system processes, failures of any processes or services, and any errors regarding those services. With the OneBox functionality running as part of the system services, it is possible to use the Windows NT system monitoring features to track the network traffic generated by the OneBox system. As more and more users start implementing unified messaging, this functionality will become a critical element in system maintenance.

36 Integración a D.N.A For MD110 users, it is possible to create, modify or delete a OneBox mailbox from the D.N.A. Directory Manager, hence simplifying the day to day system administration of OneBox. When a user is hired, quits, moves to another location or changes name, the system administrator can update his extension as well his mailbox from one single point of entry. This integration allows to configure the following basic mailbox attributes: call-out capabilities to extension, local or long distance; setting of Message Waiting Indicator or not; message retention duration; message clearing options; set-up of tutorial prompts; and desktop options on OneBox Message Manager. The OneBox mailbox will automatically be created or deleted if the subscriber is created or deleted in the D.N.A. Directory Manager.

When in the office, the user can benefit from managing also and voice maul from the user friendly client that the system provides. Through the GUI, an overview of the messages can be provided. They can be selected in random order and easily stored in the personal archive, using multiple folders. But work is not a place, it’s an activity! And in today’s working environment, many people spend their time away from the office desk. However, customers don’t care and business still needs to be conducted. While away from the office, the telephone is often the most easily accessible tool. As the messages are stored in that same mailbox, they can now be retrieved from any where in the world. Not only voice mail, but also faxes and . Fax can be directed to the nearest fax machine and can either be “listened” to using advanced Text-To Speech technology or also be forwarded to the nearest fax machine. And if you’ve chosen server based unified messaging, you can also access you messages from any Internet Explorer connected workstation regardless wherever in the world you are.

Servidor OneBox OneBox is connected with analogue or digital extensions to the network element (MD110, Mobility Server 2.X, BusinessPhone or other PBX). In addition, there is a data connection that provides information such as reason for diversion, MWI on/off, etc. MD110 has an out-band integration, using the GICI interface, Mobility Server 2.X uses an out-band integration based on Q-sig and BusinessPhone uses in-band integration (e.g. DTM signals over the extension). Connectivity with the server is provided over the LAN as well as to the Directory Manager (part of D.N.A). The end-user can access messages either through the telephone (TUI) or through the PC /web browser (GUI). Servidor PBX Cliente OneBox

42 Unificación de Mensajes basado en Cliente OneBox Message Manager para Outlook
Almacenamiento Servidor OneBox Ericsson’s client-based unified messaging application, OneBox Message Manager for Microsoft Outlook, provides a unified messaging interface via the popular Microsoft Outlook application. Like Ericsson’s server-based unified messaging applications, OneBox Message Manager for Microsoft Outlook provides a unified messaging interface from both the Outlook client interface and the OneBox TUI interface. The major differences between the two implementations exist in the location of message storage, access to messages when communication between OneBox and the message database is broken, and the use of multiple address books. OneBox Message Manager for Outlook utilizes a transport to move or copy voice and fax messages from the OneBox server to the client. OneBox Message Manager for Outlook then displays the voice and fax messages downloaded in the Outlook client along with the messages, either leaving the original copy on the OneBox server marked as read (copy), or deleting it (move). The decision to configure a mailbox to move or copy messages should be based on the way in which messages are typically managed. For example, employees who normally work in the office and typically manage messages from the computer, may choose to move messages, as accessing these messages from the telephone is less important. However, for employees who frequently travel and use the telephone as a primary device for accessing messages, the copy option would be more suitable as messages will continue to be stored on the OneBox server and therefore accessible via the telephone. 44 Unificación de Mensajes basado en Server OneBox Message Manager para Exchange o Notes
Almacenamiento Servidor OneBox OneBox Message Manager for Microsoft Exchange and OneBox Message Manager for Lotus Notes, both work in conjunction with OneBox, and use a server-based approach to unified messaging. With this state-of-the-art technology, all incoming voice and fax messages for subscribers are routed to their corresponding inbox. The result is a single, common store for all voice, fax and messages. All three message types—voice, fax, and —are accessible to the end user either through a traditional and Web-based graphical user interface (GUI) or the OneBox telephone user interface (TUI). The native 32-bit Windows client for the external message store (Exchange or Notes) has been customized to simplify the process of handling voice and fax messages. When accessing messages via the OneBox telephone user interface (TUI), voice, fax, and messages can be organized by their type, even though all messages exist as " " messages on the server. A voice or fax message can be sent to a OneBox subscriber either from another local subscriber account or from an external source, such as an outside caller. Whenever a message is "sent" by either means, it goes through a posting process that typically deposits the message into the subscriber's mailbox on the OneBox system. The posting process will also recognize a subscriber configured to use an external message store. In that case, the posting process will notify OneBox of a message destined for an external store. OneBox will take a copy of the message and logon to the external store. If OneBox can resolve the sender to a corresponding Exchange or Notes account it will switch the logon to that account. If not, the default OneBox account on Exchange or Notes will be used for the sender. When OneBox has successfully sent the message to the external message store, it will return to the posting process and delete the entry from the sending list. With that, the message transfer from OneBox to an the external message store is complete. Servidor PBX Outlook/Notes

If no integration is available, or if it is integrated with another in-box than Notes or Outlook, then OneBox Message Manager, our own Windows based application, can provide a GUI that allows a user to manage his voice and fax mail in a similar fashion as from Outlook/Notes. For the advanced fax user, OneBox provides a separate OneBox Fax Manager. It serves as the central mailbox from which you can send, receive, view, edit, and manage your faxes. Features like dynamic searching of lists, column sorting and width-adjustment, folders for fax storage, and large fax list capacity (16 million items or 16 megabytes of data, which ever comes first), make this utility easy to use and understand. OneBox Fax Manager also provides real-time feedback about your fax's status and notifies you of newly received, incomplete, or unsuccessful faxes. The optional Fax Web Client lets users manage their fax mailbox through World Wide Web browsers such as Microsoft Internet Explorer, Netscape Navigator or any HTML 3.0-compliant web browser. Users can send, receive, forward, route, delete, print faxes, attach files and more from remote locations. The Fax Web Client installs as an addition to your Microsoft Web Server, and works as a liaison between it and OneBox. Assuming the PC to be used has multimedia capabilities, the user can chose to listen to as well as record messages directly from the PC rather than using the telephone for the speech path. Messages can be downloaded locally and managed remotely.

With networking, the boundaries of the local voice messaging system become transparent to the subscribers, allowing them to communicate with remote subscribers as easily as they do with local subscribers. Networking allows voice messaging between remote offices in the same way that messages are sent within the offices. Networking capabilities can be configured to send networked messages only at a specific time of day (for example, after hours) to reduce long distance transmission charges and better utilize voice ports. Analogue networking for OneBox includes both AMIS and OneBox own analogue networking. Both networking protocols transfer voice messages via standard analogue phone lines OneBox analogue network messaging provides remote messaging capabilities to networked OneBox and/or AVT CallXpress systems. AMIS is a networking standard, which allows voice and call processing systems from different manufacturers to communicate. Networking between OneBox and MD110 Voice is done with AMIS OneBox digital networking is a feature that allows OneBox systems to exchange voice and fax messages through the Internet.
