One way Immersion is another dual language model. This model is designed for English learners who continue cognitive development in their native language for a portion of their day. Our current structure at SCE is TWI

Hablantes nativos de inglés Hablantes nativos de español Bilingües paralelos Native Spanish speakers Native English speakers Simultaneous bilinguals Some of our students are already bilingual when they enter the program. Depending on their WAPT scores, they may be counted as native English speakers. So, you cannot determine “visually” the breakdown of English and Spanish.

According to an MIT study, people who know 2 or more languges earn an average of $128,000 more in their lifetimes. They are also working on getting a specific code to indicate to colleges and universities that students took content classes in Spanish while in high school
