Yohualichan  Yohualichan, un importante centro ceremonial, proviene de la voz náhuatl que significa “la casa de la noche”. Yohualican se encuentra ubicada a 8 kms. del municipio de Cuetzalan y fue construida en el año 400 d.C. por los totonacos. El asentamiento prehispánico ocupó una extensión similar a la del pueblo actual. En el norte y sur del sitio se observan modificaciones en el suelo, sobre el cual se levantó un gran número de terrazas de cultivo además de pequeños templos. Los pobladores de aquel tiempo basaban su economía, principalmente, en la producción agrícola.
