For the teachers I guess the main issue with this resource may be that it contains my year 11 class and contains references to them as well as jokes related to them. I try to use this type of resource a lot by making stories to illustrate a particular part of Spanish which contain my own students. They respond very well to it but i also ask them first if they’re ok with certain storylines. Anyway this is all about idioms & dichos so i would begin by showing slides 2-4 and introducing the story + concept of Weird Spanish (e.g raining cats and dogs is weird English) I’d then ask them to fill in the 1 st part of the sheet with the silly literal meanings before showing them slides 5-10 of the stories. Every time a yellow phrase appears, i ask them to guess what it means before we clarify it. There’s a word flick to revise meanings on slide 11.
