Since the ending of the verb in Spanish indicates who performs the action, the subjects (yo, tú, él, ella) are often omitted.
Hablo español. Use “-o” when talking about yourself.
Halbas español. Use “-as” when talking to someone.
Halba español. Use “-a” when speaking about someone.

To make a sentence negative, put no in front of th verb. No hablo francés. Necesita una hoja de papel. No necesita una pluma.
