Demonstrative adjectives Definition: An adjective that points out which item, object, person or concept is being referred to.

English has four demonstrative pronouns: "this," "that," "these" and "those." In the masculine singular form, Spanish has three demonstrative pronouns: ese, este and aquel. They also exist in feminine and plural forms and must match the nouns they refer to in number and gender.

Demonstrative adjectives To point out something or someone that is far from both you and the person you are speaking to, you use a form of aquel, which means “that one over there.”

Rhyme Here is a rhyme to remember about the two demonstrative adjectives este and ese This and these both have t’s. That and those don’t.

Use the information just received and put it in a visual organizer, chart. Show Sp. and En.
