The IMPERFECT is used for past actions that are not seen as completed. It also refers to actions that you (used to/would do) or would do repeatedly/habitually in the past. Use of the imperfect tense implies that the past action did not have a definite beginning or end. Ex: We would eat lunch together every day. The ladies would always chat in the mornings. What is the IMPERFECT?

Conjugation forms aba abas aba ábamos aban ía ías ía íamos ían To conjugate verbs in the imperfect, simply drop the (-ar, -er, or –ir) ending and add the following: -AR-ER /-IR *There are no STEM-CHANGES in the IMPERFECT!
