 tan + adjective + como  as … as  Esta estatua es tan bonita como la otra.  This statue is as pretty as the other one.

 Estos dibujos son tan antiguos como los que vimos ayer.  These drawings are as old as the ones we saw yesterday.

 Las películas de acción no son tan divertidas como las cómicas.  Action movies are not as fun as comedies.

 There are 2 kinds of superlatives.  The first uses this formula  definite article + más/menos + adj. + de  Antonio es el más alto de la clase.  Antonio is the tallest in the class.

 María es la más bonita de todas las chicas.  Maria is the prettiest girl.  Mis estudiantes son los más inteligentes.  My students are the smartest.

 Las pinturas de DaVinci son las más hermosas.  DaVinci’s paintings are the most beautiful.

 You can also add an ending to an adjective to intensify the meaning of an adjective.  ísimo, ísima, ísimos and ísimas  La exposición de arte es buenísima.  The art exhibit is great (very good)

 El libro es aburridísimo.  The book is very boring.  Los equipos son malísimos.  The teams are very bad.
