 Demonstrative Adjectives must agree in gender and number with the object they are describing.  este vestido – this dress  esta camisa – this shirt  estos pantalones – these pants  estas bolsas – these purses  ese sombrero – that hat  esa blusa – that blouse  esos zapatos – those shoes  esas chaquetas – those jackets

 You may forget which demonstrative adjectives are used for things that are close and which are used for things that are farther away.  The words that contain the letter “ t ” (este, esta, estos, estas) are the ones used that are close enough to touch.
