Take the verb eat for example: ◦ I am eating. ◦ You are eating. ◦ He/She is eating. ◦ We are eating ◦ They are eating. ◦ Notice how the verb to eat only changed to eating for all the subjects. However, you did have to add an am, are, or is to clarify. Spanish has a different way to clarify who we are talking about.
