Listen as you hear a description of an outfit. Listen for the verb, llevar, as well as the indefinite articles (un, una, unos, unas). Draw the clothing items you hear. Now listen to a classmate describe an outfit!

92 Now, look at the picture on each slide and write a complete sentence about what each person is wearing. Start with the subject (él, ella, etc.), then add the conjugated form of the verb llevar, then add the clothing items. Follow along with the next example!

Ella lleva una blusa blanca y una falda azul. She is wearing a white blouse and a blue skirt.

Él lleva una gorra roja. He is wearing a red cap.

Él lleva una camiseta azul, una sudadera verde, y jeans. He is wearing a blue t-shirt, a green sweatshirt, and jeans.

Notice that when the subject is plural, the noun is too. (We -> Shirts) Nosotros llevamos camisas azules y pantalones negros. We are wearing blue shirts and black pants.

Ellas llevan vestidos morados. The girls are wearing purple dresses.

99 ¿Qué llevan ellos? What are they (boys)wearing?
Ellos llevan chaquetas rojas. They are wearing red jackets.

Ellos llevan camisetas amarillas y pantalones cortos amarillos. They are wearing yellow t-shirts and yellow shorts.

Ella lleva una camisa y pantalones cortos. Él lleva una camisa y pantalones. She is wearing a shirt and shorts. He is wearing a shirt and pants.

102 Share a laminated set of pictures with your partner.
Write sentences to describe what various people are wearing. Use the verb LLEVAR. Remember to make sure the adjective (color) matches the noun in both gender and number.
