A few things to remember…  Recall that regular –ar verbs do not have stem changes in the preterite. –Er verbs work the same way.  However, -ir verbs that have stem changes in the present do have a stem change in the preterite forms. (We will get to this later…)  Accents mean everything with the preterite!!!
