Celebrates the culture, history, and contributions American citizens descendants from Spain, Mexico, the Caribbean, Central and South America made. In this month El Salvador, Costa Rica, Guatemala, Honduras, Nicaragua, Mexico, and Chile celebrate their countries independence. Columbus Day falls in this month as well.

A: Yo trabajo en Sysco Metro New York cómo un selector de comida. Q: In your country how do they perceive the United States? A: The majority of people perceive the United States as a country of opportunity and a country that lends a helping hand. However, some perceive the United States as a country that is filled with oppression and that the government sides with the rich powerful companies not the common man.

ANSWER TO QUESTIONS FROM INTERVIEW Q: Do you feel the United is truly the land of the free and the home of the brave? A: Yes I do feel the United States is truly the land of the free and the home of the brave. Q: Is the weather in the US similar to the weather in your home country? A: No the weather is different because my country is a tropical country and where I live in the United States experiences all four seasons not just summer like my home country. Q: Was the English language easy to learn? A: No the English language was not easy to learn. Even after 25 years of being in this country I am still learning even though I speak language frequently. Q: Do you prefer living in the United States or your country of origin? Explain. A: I prefer living here in the United States due to the fact that this country offers opportunity that otherwise my home country would never offer. For example, medical care programs, minimum wage, etc.
