Other Uses of PARA To express that an ability is surprising in a person with certain traits: Para un niño escribe muy bien. He writes very well for a child. Para un americano entiende bastante de fútbol. For an American, he knows a lot about soccer. For an American, he knows a lot about soccer. To introduce someone’s opinion/perspective: Para mi padre, eso es simplemente una excusa. As far as my father is concerned, that’s just an excuse. Para ella, tu actitud es inaceptable. She finds your attitude inacceptable To express that someone works for (is employed by) someone. To express that someone works for (is employed by) someone. Trabajo para mi cuñado.
