Ser: the verb to be In English, the verb to be is the most common verb. I am Carlos. We are from Argentina. You are from Managua. You are high school students. He is my classmate. They are my friends. In Spanish ser means to be Ser is the infinitive. Uses of SER Time ¿Que hora es? – What time is it? Es la una y veinticinco de la tarde. – It is one twenty-five in the afternoon. Son las cuatro menos diez de la tarde. – It is three forty-five in the afternoon. Es mediodía. – It is noon. Es medianoche. – It is midnight.

Writing Activity, INB pg 39 Write a note to introduce yourself to a pen pal. In the note, state the day of the week, the date, your name, address, and telephone number. Use complete sentences. Remember to begin with a greeting and end with an appropriate closing.
