It’s a source of fiber, calcium, thiamin, and Vitamin B6. Spinach is the richest plant source containing folate.

How To Select, Store and Serve Spinach? Select leaves that are green and crisp. Avoid leaves that are limp, damaged, or spotted. Store spinach washed in an open plastic bag in the refrigerator. It is best if used within three or four days after purchase. Cook spinach by steaming, micro waving, or stir- frying. Boiling causes some of the vitamins to be lost. For cooked spinach, a serving is ½ cup for children and 1 cup for adults.

Designate a space where kids can roll, climb, jump, dance and tumble. Take a walk with your child while playing “I spy”, counting, or reciting the alphabet.
