PRESENT CONTINUOUS El presente continuo se forma con la forma apropiada del verbo “to be” dependiendo de la persona y el verbo terminado en “-ing”. Ex.: They are washing their faces. Algunos verbos sufren modificaciones cuando se añade la terminación –ing. Los verbos de una sola silaba terminados en una vocal más una consonante duplican esta consonante final: cut – cutting. Los verbos que terminan en –e, la pierden cundo añaden –ing: write – writing. Los verbos que terminan en –ie, pierden estas vocales, adquieren la y seguida de –ing: lie – lying.
